Gemma studied Dance and teacher training at the The Centre Performing Arts College, London. During her time at the college, she worked to the penultimate level of licentiate, one away from an ISTD examiner and represented the college with many performances.
After working through her college years, she went on to perform across the UK and abroad. From Scarborough to Wales & then onto Morocco (among many locations), Gemma gained a wealth of experience collaborating with the best dancers in the industry.
Following her professional dancing career, Gemma went on to complete a degree in teaching at Greenwich University. This lead to work in Performing Arts Colleges, Secondary and Private Schools passing on her experiences and training pupils to a very high standard.
WrightDance was setup in Joydens Wood in 2015 as a way to offer classes to local children in the area. From simply a couple of classes at the weekend, growing into a small school, she now has an offering to attract many young dancers. With annual performances, Theatre trips, Holiday Clubs and ISTD examinations, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Gemma is fun, energetic, charismatic and able to inspire and offer creativity that will only encourage the children that she teaches.
